March 7, 2021 Nearly two dozen current and former Google employees have told NBC News about their experiences or experiences they have heard of where workers who complained about racism or sexism in the workplace were advised by human resources to seek mental health counseling or take medical leave to address their mental health — despite their mental well-being having nothing to do with their complaints.
